Detailed Description
		Overview • The Platform Applications group plays a key role in the development of system level designs showcasing various features of Xilinx’s next-generation FPGA families. • We are looking for a Software Design Engineer for this team at Xilinx Hyderabad office. This person will work with the hardware teams to develop system designs in connectivity and embedded domains. Tasks: • Design and develop software for embedded/non-embedded systems utilizing current and future Xilinx FPGAs • Participate in quality processes required for a high-quality release – project reviews, documentation, code reviews, executing test plans including regression testing & debugging. • Assist management in detailed project planning, including identifying risks & dependencies, and tracking status
Job Requirements
		• Required – Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science (preferred) – 3-6 years of experience designing and developing embedded software and systems software, including device drivers for platforms such as Linux or Windows – ARM architecture (operating modes, assembly instructions, etc), – Programming languages: C – Experience on developing Ethernet, PCI Express device drivers – Ability to learn new technology domains, and programming environments – Good debugging skills, including at the hardware-software interface – Good communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills • Desired – Experience on developing video drivers for embedded systems – Working knowledge of languages: Verilog or VHDL, scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Tcl, shell) – Experience using Xilinx ISE and EDK tools, including ChipScope – Experience with simulation tools
